Vampires are mytholigical  or foclore beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures, regardless of whether they are undead or a living person. Although vampiric entities have been recorded in many cultres, and in spite of speculation by literary historian Brian Frost that the "belief in vampires and bloodsucking demond is as old as man himself", and may go back to "prehistoric times", the term vampire was not popularized until the early 18th century, after an influx of vampire superstition into western erope from areas where vampire legends were frequent, such as the Balkans and Eastern Erope , although local variants were also known by different names, such as vrykolakas in Greece and strigoi in Romania. This increased level of vampire superstition in Europe led to mass hysteria and in some cases resulted in corpses actually being staked and people being accused of vampirism.

this site said that vampires are real. they burn up in sunlight and can be killed with a stake thought the heart. but is the site real or not. it gave you a test to see if you could here this high frequncy sound and i could. but dose that mean im a vamp. i hope not that would be strange. but it said that if you here this sound that your a vamp. or you have very good at lisoning i don't know if its true or not but thats what it said. so are they real or fake thats the qustion

what are vampires? are they people who have a disease or are they realty immortal bloodsucking freaks well i would like to know i was resurching and i fund this site and it was like so cool but when i got to reading the information it was about how president obama was runing the world. and the title said it was about vamps it was not the right information to go with the name i mean comeon people get the facts right. i read a bunch of book on  the subject they were all diferent! what do you think that a vamp should be? because i can not figur it out what are they realy? if you have ideas then tell me about them if not just take a gess
